What is Amatsu ?

Amatsu is a blend of modern research and ancient Japanese Physical Therapy. It works at enhancing and facilitating integrated body movement in all directions or para-laterally by focusing on the head, spine, pelvis and feet. Amatsu treats the whole body not just the area where symptoms occur. We can experience pain, discomfort or symptoms of ill - health in one area of the body but these are actually part of a greater or wider pattern in the body. Amatsu addresses these patterns by rebalancing and realigning the whole body from head to toe. It comprises a number of different techniques such as massage, mobilisation, re-patterning and cranial balancing.

The stresses of everyday life can damage or distort the natural patterns in our bodies leading to poor health in various forms. Amatsu re-patterns and re-educates soft tissue patterns, ligaments and tendons, muscles, visceral patterns and the cranio-sacral system helping the body to regain natural and healthy patterns to restore balance.

Amastu is a hands on treatment which is quite gentle in approach but discomfort can be felt in areas that are very tense and tight. This tends to ease quite quickly. It can be used on any age groups from young to old.
